Originally from the Northern Jungles of Peru comes the Aji Charapita. This plant produces hundreds of hot, small, round pea size peppers. They start off green changing to a deep yellow. They have citrusy sweet flavours and are similar to a cayenne pepper with heat. Known as the World’s most expensive chilli when dried as to pick a kg of Charapita takes a long time! Great in salsas, stews, sauces and just eaten whole!
